先日に子供と出掛けた時の事でした。

 

子供と３人で電車に乗りました。

子供は4才と2才です。

4才は自分で歩かせ、2才はベビーカーに乗せて電車に乗っていました。

目的地に到着し、いざ降りようとした時です。

 ホームには、数名の乗客が待ち構えていました。

駅に着き、電車の扉が開きます。

僕は、子供連れてベビーカーを押しているので急いで降りる事はできません。

慌てて降りて、ホームと電車の間の隙間にでも足を滑らせてしまったりしては大変です。

ゆっくり降りていると、僕たちが完全に降りていないにも関わらず、待ち構えている乗客が一斉に車内に入ってきました。

驚きです。

もし子供とあたって、転んだりでもしたらどうすんねんって話です。

降りる人が完全に降りてから、乗る。当たり前の事です。

みんながみんな我先にと相手の事も考えず、自分が席に座りたいが為に待つことも出来ない。

なんてこったです。

 

で、その後デパートに行ったときの事。

またまた、子供とベビーカーを連れていました。

今度は、エレベーターに乗ろうとしていた時の事です。

結構多くの人が待ち構えていて、順番的には僕たちは真ん中くらいでした。

そしてエレベーターが到着し、乗っていた人が完全に降りるのを待っていました。

そうすると全員が降りきっていないにも関わらず、僕より先に待っていた人、後に順番を待っていた人たちが我先にと僕たちを順番抜かしして入って行きました。

幸い、僕たちも一番最後でしたがなんとか乗ることが出来ました。

でも、僕たちが乗れなかったら順番抜かしした人たちはどう思ったのでしょうか。

早く乗らない僕たちが悪いのでしょうか。

そんなに急いでどうするの。

大阪だけなのかな？

 

たて続けに待てない大人たちを見たので、なんだが悲しい気分になりました。

待つって事は、その相手を思いやる気持ちでもあります。

また、順番抜かしなんて論外です。

高校生などの電車のマナーが悪いなどど良く言われていますが、根本的な原因は大人にある。

待てない大人たちを見て、その理由を垣間見た気がします。

子供はやはり大人の行動をみて学んでいくのものです。

どうも最近、子供の手本にもなれない自分勝手な大人が増えていると思います。

 

そんなに気になるなら、その人を注意すればいいじゃないかと言われそうですが、

そんな大人を注意し更生させる気は僕にはありません。

少なくとも自分だけでもきちんとし、子供の手本になれるような大人になる。

モラルのない大人たちを見て、改めてそう思いました。
